Pia de Solenni
Dr. Pia de Solenni is a theologian, ethicist, and cultural analyst. In addition to various policy and academic roles, Pia is IWP Capital’s Vice President of Corporate Engagement and was a principal founder of the Global Institute of Church Management. Previously, she served as Chancellor of the Diocese of Orange in California, and theological advisor to the Bishop of Orange. Dr. de Solenni is an expert in issues relating to Catholicism, culture, ethics, the new feminism, and Church governance. Her writing has appeared in various publications, including The Wall Street Journal Europe, The Washington Post, National Catholic Reporter, Our Sunday Visitor, and National Review. She has participated in interviews for major media outlets – BBC, MSNBC, Fox News, CNN, and EWTN, among others. She is also a consultant member of the Pontifical Academy of St. Thomas Aquinas. Dr. de Solenni received her doctorate in sacred theology summa cum laude from the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross. Her dissertation was published in the university series “Dissertationes.” In November 2001, she received the Award of the Pontifical Academies for her doctoral work, which was presented by Saint John Paul lI. In addition to the doctorate, Dr. de Solenni holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Arts-Great Books from Thomas Aquinas College, California; a Sacred Theology Baccalaureate from the Pontifical University of St. Thomas Aquinas (Angelicum); and a Sacred Theology Licentiate from the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross.
